上海市民办教育协会、中国民办教育协会等各级行业自律组织成立后，充分发挥了政府和学校之间的纽带作用，同时积极搭建平台促进民办学校交流、开展课题研究解决民办学校所面临的问题，在维护民办中小学合法权益的同时亦加强民办学校的行业自律，有效促进了民办教育的健康发展。
Upon the establishment of the Shanghai Association for Non-Government Education, the China Association for Non-Government Education and other self-managing organizations at all levels, the links between government and schools became fully realized. Moreover, great efforts were being made to establish relevant platforms for promoting communication among non-governmental schools, enhance their industrial self-management, carry out research projects to solve challenges encountered by them, and safeguard the legal interests of non-governmental primary and middle schools. These measures significantly promoted the sound development of non-governmental education.
